As a kid, my mother never let my sisters and I dress up for Halloween. It never made any sense to me, and I was always scrambling to make up excuses for myself around my friends. Nowadays, we have a great time with Halloween, with the boys talking it up for weeks beforehand, and until this year, we (and when I say we, I mean the wife) always made their outfits instead of buying store costumes. I must admit that Halloween has crept into my top three holidays, a close second behind Thanksgiving and St. Patrick’s Day. The kids have a great time, we have a great time; it’s a win-win. Oh, did I mention the candy? Have fun! (BTW, Jackie-boy’s pumpkin is the middle one; it totally personifies him)
